This was the region’s biggest fundraising event of the year and aimed to break the world record for racing 200,000 ducks down a 1km stretch of river whilst raising money for the following good causes:
- The Yorkshire Air Ambulance
- ASDA Tickled Pink Campaign
- PCA Benevolent Fund
- Little Heroes Children’s Cancer Charity
As the day had a great family focus SICL staff took their families along to enjoy the day and were joined by customers and suppliers to support the charities.
After taking a massive lead at the start the SICL corporate duck was beaten by Asda after being stuck in an eddy pool - "next time we'll use frogmen" commented SICL Sales & Marketing Manager Maston Daniel.
